This miscellany is a collection of random thoughts and ideas captured in poems, short stories, and essays. From poems about the loss of my mother to cancer over twenty years ago ("Three Weeks") to the problems of houseguests who won't behave ("Friend Surfin'"), there's something for everyone.

Essays include He Sat Alone about a veteran eating by himself in Applebee's on Veteran's Day, Nicknames lets you in on the secret about how I earned my nickname. You’re Never Too Old to have a happy childhood encourages you to have fun with life, no matter what your age.

And short stories about supporting a friend with breast cancer in Bald Buddies. Revenge on the Rocks appeared in Murder by the Glass featuring a murder and a certain cocktail. Midnight in the Church of the Holy Grape appeared 50 shades of Cabernet. You’ll have to read this one to know what it’s about.

You’ll also find first-chapter teasers from my six published novels as well as my current work-in-progress, Grandpa’s Keys.

Get ready to laugh, weep, and think!
