I write about strong women, family, and crime, not always in that order.

My books include the Mad Max series, which features a snarky, vexing woman who sees wrongs and works to right them. No goody-two-shoes, Mad Max doesn’t tolerate people who harm others.

Eyes Without a Face features another strong woman who doesn’t tolerate people who harm others. Where Mad Max brings people to justice, That Thing, the unreliable narrator, kills them. Up close and persona.

Out of the Desert is a coming-of-age tale about an extended family and friends growing up on the Mojave Desert in Southern California. The desert is more than the setting; it is a character in and of itself which works its way into the lives of four children, Toad, Cricket, Pollywog, and Phyl.
